Rock legend Rob Zombie has unveiled '(I’m a) Rock ‘N’ Roller' as the third single from his highly anticipated eighth studio album, The Great Satan. The track arrives ahead of the album's February 27 release via Nuclear Blast Records. It features Zombie's signature industrial-metal style with a nod to David Bowie.
Rob Zombie, the iconic frontman known for his hell-raising sound, has dropped the third single, '(I’m a) Rock ‘N’ Roller,' from his forthcoming album The Great Satan. Scheduled for release on February 27 via Nuclear Blast Records, the album marks Zombie's eighth studio effort and revisits his early Hellbilly roots with anthemic punk-infused heavy rock and metal.
The new single embodies Zombie's classic style, characterized by thick, boot-stomping grooves and fist-pumping choruses. It serves as a bold declaration that “rock & roll is here to stay.” Lyrically, it includes a nod to David Bowie’s “Moonage Daydream” with the line, “I’m an alligator, I’m a space invader.” Musically, it fits into Zombie's industrial-metal wheelhouse but is described as less heavy than prior singles “Heathen Days” and “Punks and Demons.”
The Great Satan follows the success of Zombie's 2021 Top 10 charting album The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy. The full tracklist includes:
