WWE star Seth Rollins described a heated road-rage incident on a podcast, where he confronted a man who flipped him off while driving his Tesla Cybertruck in Los Angeles. The confrontation occurred during a school run with his daughter and wife Becky Lynch present. Rollins attributed the hostility to backlash against the vehicle amid its polarizing reputation.
Seth Rollins, a former six-time WWE World Champion currently sidelined by a shoulder injury from Crown Jewel in early October, shared details of a recent altercation on comedian Bert Kreischer's Something's Burning podcast. The 39-year-old wrestler, whose real name is Colby Lopez, explained that he purchased a black Tesla Cybertruck from a friend who was flipping it for profit, not directly from Tesla. He emphasized his affinity for electric cars and environmental benefits, distancing himself from Tesla CEO Elon Musk: "I like electric cars. I like the brand... Friends of the environment—not Elon."
The incident unfolded in Los Angeles, where Rollins said Cybertruck owners face significant public animosity. "In L.A., that’s like… you’re the enemy," he noted. While driving his daughter Roux, nearly five years old, to school with wife Becky Lynch in the passenger seat, a man walking his dog on the sidewalk made an unwarranted middle-finger gesture toward the vehicle. Rollins, who was not speeding or driving erratically, initially tried to ignore it at Lynch's urging: "Just let it go. Let it go."
However, the disrespect in front of his family proved too much. "I whip that b*tch around. I flip a f*cking U-ey, I pull up on this guy, and I go: ‘What the f*ck is your problem?’" Rollins recounted. The man admitted, "It’s not you. It’s the truck." Rollins responded furiously: "You flipped me off! You flipped me off, dude! I’m driving my daughter to school! You don’t know me! You don’t know what people are going through!" Lynch attempted to de-escalate by grabbing his arm, but Rollins continued: "Don’t f*cking flip me off in front of my daughter."
The man apologized, but Rollins admitted he had "lost his mind" and remained agitated for about 20 minutes afterward, shaking with anger. He reflected on the broader context of Cybertruck hatred tied to its design and Musk's controversies, calling the reaction absurd: "This guy’s walking his dog, and he sees a Cybertruck and just thinks, ‘F*ck you.’ Like bro, relax." Rollins, who underwent shoulder surgery post-injury and aims to return by WrestleMania 42 in late April, portrayed the event as uncharacteristic, highlighting his protective instincts as a father.
