South Korea’s wealth fund will establish a Tokyo office as its sixth overseas outpost to focus on alternative assets.

The new office joins existing locations in New York, London, Singapore, Mumbai and San Francisco. The plan was reported on June 4, 2026. It aims to expand the fund’s reach into alternative investments through the Japan location.
