Streetlight Manifesto has pushed back the release of their first album in 12 years, The Place Behind The Stars, beyond the previously announced fall window. Lead singer Tomas Kalnoky shared the update via Instagram, taking full responsibility for the delay and emphasizing the need for more time to perfect the project. The band has already released three singles from the album this year.

The Statement
In a candid Instagram post, Kalnoky expressed regret over the setbacks. He wrote, "Hi, hello. By now you’ve figured out the record isn’t coming out two months ago, or even last month, I assume. I’m still not done with what I need to get done, it’s still not where I need it to be before release and I’m still claiming all responsibility for it not being finished as well as making the awful move of announcing two intended release dates/windows before being happy with it."
Kalnoky avoided setting a new timeline, stating, "I’m not going to make any more predictions about when the record will be out because we’ve all seen how that ends, but it is in fact close to done. It’s just not actually done yet." He apologized profusely and promised that future updates would only come once the album is complete.
Released Tracks
Fans have gotten a preview through three songs shared this year: "Enormous," "Everything to Everyone," and "Imagine This." These tracks hint at the project's ambitious scope, building anticipation despite the delays.
