The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will reach digital platforms on May 19. Universal made the announcement less than two months after the film's theatrical debut in April.
Digital copies will include more than one hour of exclusive behind-the-scenes content. Featurettes cover the making of the film, the cast's work on characters like Mario and Luigi, and explorations of the movie's settings and power-ups. Composer Brian Tyler discusses reimagining game music for the score in one segment, while others focus on hidden Easter eggs and emotional themes in the story.
