Sweden and Germany sign letter of intent on air defense

Sweden and Germany have signed a letter of intent to deepen cooperation on air defense. The document was signed by the defense ministers at a NATO meeting in Ankara.

Sweden and Germany have signed a letter of intent to enhance cooperation in air defense. The document was signed by Swedish Defense Minister Pål Jonson and his German counterpart Boris Pistorius.

Jonson described the agreement as an important step for two close allies, for Europe's security and for the common ability to meet NATO capability requirements. The cooperation covers missile defense, space and advanced combat aircraft capabilities including unmanned systems.

The document was signed at the NATO meeting in Ankara.
