A 37-year-old teacher in Texas has been charged with injury to a child after allegedly swinging a 5-year-old student by her feet and dropping her on her head during rest time at school.
Rachel Kirspel, who worked at the Marshall Early Childhood Center in Harrison County, faces the charge following an incident on May 14. A criminal complaint states she hung the girl upside down by her feet, swung her side to side and up and down, causing the child to hit her head. The event occurred in front of classmates and another teacher, according to the complaint and witness accounts.
