The National will perform their first live show since 2024 at a one-off event in Spain this October. The concert forms part of the AB100 festival and features several guest artists.
The band will headline the event, billed as “The National And Friends,” at the Kursaal Donostia in San Sebastian on October 18. Additional performers include Kevin Morby, Ben Howard, Jon Hopkins, Mina Tindle, Ragnar Kjartansson, Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Perry and Anaïs Mitchell.
Tickets go on sale August 3 at 11.30am Central European Time. The group last released two albums in 2023, The First Two Pages of Frankenstein and Laugh Track.
Frontman Matt Berninger issued a solo album, Get Sunk, after the band’s 2024 comments about entering a creative phase. Aaron Dessner has contributed to recent projects by other artists including Mumford & Sons and Gracie Abrams.
