The Strokes have added an extra show at London's O2 Arena to their 2026 'Reality Awaits' UK tour due to high demand. The additional October 7 performance follows the originally announced October 6 date. Tickets go on general sale April 17 at 10am local time.
The New York indie rock band The Strokes announced the extra London O2 gig amid phenomenal demand for their upcoming UK and Ireland tour. This marks their first full tour in the region in over 20 years, supporting their new album 'Reality Awaits', set for release on June 26 via Cult Records and RCA Records. The album was recorded in Costa Rica with producer Rick Rubin and completed in various global locations. The band has shared the lead single 'Going Shopping', first distributed to fans on cassette and later debuted live in San Francisco. Guitarist Albert Hammond Jr described the record's vibe as 'looser' due to the Costa Rican setting, telling The Shaky Experience podcast in 2023: 'I think the environment can affect you... the songs might be a little looser in a sense of our style.'
