Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics closing ceremony held in Shibuya

Around 3,000 athletes representing 79 countries, regions, and refugee groups competed in various disciplines. The Japanese delegation achieved a record haul of 51 medals, comprising 16 gold, 12 silver, and 23 bronze, highlighting the nation's strong performance.

The ceremony celebrated the participants' dedication and fostered a sense of global community. Organizers noted that the event contributed to raising awareness of sports for people with disabilities in Japan. This gathering underscored the values of inclusion and athletic achievement on an international stage.
