On the evening of November 19, 2025, the snowstorm struck hard in southern and central Sweden, with SMHI issuing yellow warnings for heavy snowfall in areas including Västra Götaland, Götaland, and Svealand. The warnings were expanded during the day, covering abundant snowfall of 5–15 cm, with more precipitation expected from the south overnight into Thursday.
In Vrigstad, Sävsjö municipality, 65-year-old Anders Johansson was hit by an accident shortly after 7:20 p.m. He was watching TV when he heard a bang. A truck with trailer had veered off road 127, through the fence, and onto the property, damaging the lawn and lawnmower. "It just went bang and we had to call 112. But it's not the first time vehicles have ended up in our garden," Johansson tells Expressen. He had just repaired the fence last summer and notes that the road is accident-prone, especially in the icy conditions. Previous incidents involved drunk drivers, but this was the first with a truck. The trailer remained on the road, causing queues, but police reported no injuries.
