Trump T1 phone likely reskinned HTC model from 2024

Reviews and teardowns indicate that the Trump T1 smartphone is nearly identical to the HTC U24 Pro released in mid-2024. The findings come from multiple independent analyses including iFixit and CNET.

iFixit concluded after scanning and tearing apart the phone that it was likely manufactured in Guangdong, China. The device matches the HTC U24 Pro in most internal and external components except for a larger 5,000-mAh battery and a custom back cover.

CNET's benchmark testing aligned with these results, showing similar performance to the HTC model with an eight-core processor believed to be the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. The Trump T1 lists specs including a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen, multiple 50-megapixel cameras and a 5,000-mAh battery.

Trump Mobile launched the phone in June 2025 with a $47.45 monthly plan after initially claiming it would be made in the US. The company later dropped that claim, and the box now states the device was assembled in the USA.

Few customers have received their phones despite deposits of $100, with most units going to media outlets. The PR firm that assisted with deliveries has ended its relationship with Trump Mobile.

The Trump Mobile T1 smartphone will start shipping this week to customers who placed preorders, according to a statement from the company CEO. Deliveries are expected to arrive within the next several weeks after repeated production delays.

A recent teardown shows the Trump Mobile T1 is nearly identical to the HTC U24 Pro. The analysis by iFixit found only minor differences in battery capacity and external design. Most components originate from China despite initial claims of US manufacturing.
