Two minors injured by fireworks explosion in Timaná

Two minors were injured after a fireworks device exploded in the municipality of Timaná. The incident occurred on the afternoon of June 28 in the main park during municipal reign activities.

The minors were hit by the explosion of a firework while festivities with a large number of attendees were taking place. The Volunteer Fire Department of Timaná responded immediately and transferred the children along with the accompanying adult to the municipal medical center for evaluation.

This incident renewed alerts about the risks of using fireworks at public events. The Fire Department reiterated the call for the community to refrain from handling these items in crowded spaces and recalled that their use should be left to trained personnel.
