The United States Men's National Team will play a friendly match at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, on May 31, 2026, as part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The event, known as the Allstate Continental Clásico, features an opponent to be announced later and will be broadcast on TNT, HBO Max, Telemundo, Universo, and Peacock. This marks the second USMNT visit to the venue.
The U.S. Soccer Federation announced on December 2, 2025, that Bank of America Stadium will host the USMNT's penultimate friendly before the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Scheduled for Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 3:30 p.m., the Allstate Continental Clásico continues a tradition of matchups against premier North, Central, or South American rivals, such as Mexico in 2023 and Brazil in 2024.
An opponent will be revealed following the World Cup draw on December 5, 2025, in Washington, D.C. This game follows the announcement of the USMNT's World Cup roster and serves as a key tune-up for the tournament.
"Next year will be the biggest summer of soccer in the history of this country and Charlotte is set to host the U.S. Men’s National Team’s penultimate friendly ahead of the FIFA World Cup," said Kristi Coleman, CEO of Tepper Sports & Entertainment.
The match is one of two major exhibitions at the stadium in 2026, alongside the MLS All-Star Game. It is the second USMNT appearance at Bank of America Stadium, following a 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup win over Trinidad and Tobago. North Carolina has hosted eight USMNT matches historically, with High Point leading at three.
Charlotte FC defender Tim Ream, who has earned 79 caps for the USMNT since 2011 and captained 25 times, adds local interest.
