Vaesen RPG launches new expansion City of My Nightmares

The tabletop roleplaying game Vaesen is set to release a new campaign expansion titled City of My Nightmares on April 7th. Pre-orders for the gothic-themed adventure are now available. The expansion delves into Nordic horror with a four-part story in a mysterious metropolis.

Vaesen – Nordic Horror Roleplaying continues to build its universe with the upcoming campaign City of My Nightmares. This full-length expansion, arriving on April 7th, invites players into a Gothic metropolis where a series of grisly murders unfolds, pulling investigators into a larger enigma.

The campaign expands the game's lore, particularly the origins of the Society, a secretive group that helps navigate the hidden realm of Vaesen creatures. Players will use a detailed city map and an oversized newspaper handout, measuring 17 by 22 inches or 432 by 558 millimeters, to aid in their investigations and immerse in the worldbuilding.

Presented in a hardback volume, the expansion features illustrations by artists Johan Egerkrans and Anton Vitus, enhancing the atmospheric Nordic horror experience. Pre-orders opened following the announcement on March 4th, 2026, allowing fans to secure their copy ahead of release.

This addition builds on Vaesen's core mechanics, focusing on investigative storytelling amid supernatural threats rooted in Scandinavian folklore. The Society's backstory provides deeper context for ongoing campaigns, enriching player engagement without altering fundamental rules.
