Wife of Víctor Rodríguez accuses attempts to silence her after reporting assaults

María Felicia Jiménez said her social media accounts and phone line were blocked after she posted videos alleging assaults by her husband, the former Pemex director.

María Felicia Jiménez, wife of Víctor Rodríguez Padilla, said in an interview with Ciro Gómez Leyva that attempts were made to silence her in multiple ways in the last 72 hours after she shared recordings of violence.

She said her X account was deleted after posting the videos on the night of Thursday, June 25, and she also lost access to profiles on the INEEL website. In addition, her phone line was suspended, leaving her able to communicate only via internet or WhatsApp.

Jiménez detailed that the relationship included physical, psychological, and economic violence, with the first physical episode in 2022 and the recent one as the third and most serious. She expressed fear of reprisals and her partner's influences.
