Building on her Vogue essay published ahead of the event—where the Nigerian-British actress described the pregnancy as 'beautiful, personal, sacred news' protected in her culture and addressed speculation fueled by 'Sinners'' spotlight—Wunmi Mosaku openly confirmed expecting her second child during the January 11, 2026, red carpet at the 83rd Golden Globes.
In an interview with Variety's Angelique Jackson on the Variety Golden Globes Pre-Show presented by Amazon Fire TV, Mosaku, radiant in a yellow gown, said: "It’s a relief. I’m not gonna lie. Hiding pregnancy is really, really hard, and just being able to be really present in the moment, and accepting myself exactly how I am in the moment is really a relief. It’s a beautiful thing."
This personal milestone follows the birth of her first child last year; Mosaku, who is married but private about her family, chose to embrace visibility amid heightened attention.
