WWE will pre-tape an episode of Raw on the same night as a live SmackDown broadcast next month. The double taping is set for August 28 at Rocket Arena in Cleveland.
The announcement was made by Rocket Arena, which is hosting the August 28 episode of WWE SmackDown. Fans were told they could attend both shows in one evening under the slogan “TWO SHOWS. ONE NIGHT.”
The pre-taped Raw episode will serve as the go-home show for Sunday Night’s Main Event, scheduled for September 6 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. A similar double taping occurred on June 29 when SmackDown was recorded at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on the same night as a live Raw.
Spoilers from the August 28 taping are expected to spread quickly on social media, as has happened with prior pre-taped episodes.
