A hard techno remix of Arctic Monkeys' 505 by Dutch producer Xamuel is proving popular at dance festivals this summer. The track has been played to large crowds at events including Verknipt Easter in Amsterdam and Ultra Miami 2026.
Xamuel transformed the 2007 track from the album Favourite Worst Nightmare into a pounding rave edit featuring heavy kicks, industrial textures and a large festival drop. He first shared a preview on TikTok and the remix has since circulated widely on social media.
DJ Trym has performed the remix at Verknipt Easter in Amsterdam and during a back-to-back set with The Outlaw, the harder alias of DJ Snake, at Ultra Miami 2026. The original song, written by Alex Turner, became a streaming hit after going viral on TikTok in 2022.
Arctic Monkeys last released a full album with The Car in 2022 and returned earlier this year with the track Opening Night on the War Child charity album Help(2).
