Dense fog disrupts flights at Delhi airport

Dense fog has enveloped Delhi-NCR and parts of North India, causing delays to several flights at Indira Gandhi International Airport. Airlines including IndiGo, SpiceJet and Air India, along with the airport, have advised passengers to check flight status. Delhi's AQI has dipped to 387, nearing the severe category.
The Federal Aviation Administration on Friday began a phased reduction in airline operations at 40 of the nation’s busiest airports, starting with a 4% cut and rising to 10% by Nov. 14, to preserve safety amid air traffic controller staffing shortfalls during the ongoing government shutdown.
