Arizona secured the top spot in the 11th AP Top 25 men's college basketball poll with all 61 first-place votes after remaining undefeated. The Wildcats have held the position for six consecutive weeks, while Michigan climbed to No. 3 following road wins. Nebraska reached its highest-ever ranking at No. 7, and Miami (Ohio) entered the poll at No. 25 for the first time since 1998-99.
Top-ranked Arizona maintained its perfect record with an 88-53 victory over West Virginia in Big 12 play at McKale Center. The Wildcats dominated from start to finish, leading wire-to-wire and pulling away in the second half. Four Arizona players scored in double figures in the convincing win.
