Nathan MacKinnon scored twice to lead the Colorado Avalanche to a 4-1 victory over the Boston Bruins on Saturday at Ball Arena. The win extended Colorado's season-opening point streak to six games while Boston suffered its third straight loss. Josh Manson and Martin Necas also scored for the Avalanche.
Martin Necas recorded a goal and two assists in his first game after signing an eight-year contract with Colorado, helping the Avalanche defeat the Vegas Golden Knights 4-2 at T-Mobile Arena. Cale Makar added a goal and an assist, while Brent Burns scored his first goal with the team. Vegas has now lost three of their last four games.
