SC Freiburg and Mainz 05 have reached the quarterfinals in their European competitions for the first time. Freiburg beat KRC Genk 5:1 in the Europa League, Mainz defeated Sigma Olomouc 2:0 in the Conference League. VfB Stuttgart was eliminated by FC Porto.
Crystal Palace advanced to the UEFA Conference League quarter-finals for the first time, defeating AEK Larnaca 2-1 after extra time in the second leg of their round-of-16 tie in Cyprus (2-1 aggregate after a 0-0 first leg).
