Sucker Punch Productions has confirmed that Ghost of Yōtei Legends received its final major content update last month. The studio's lead designer announced the decision on the PlayStation Blog. The multiplayer mode launched in March and will receive no further large expansions.

Developer Sucker Punch has released patch 1.601 for Ghost of Yōtei over the weekend, adding a challenging Hell Mode to Raid boss battles along with matchmaking options and quality-of-life improvements. The update includes new cosmetics, gear retirement features, and numerous fixes for performance and gameplay. These changes come six months after the game's launch.
