Housing minister stresses state must not lose KAI assets in Tanah Abang

Housing and Settlements Minister Maruarar Sirait affirmed the state must not lose control of three PT KAI land assets in Tanah Abang held by third parties despite having final legal strength. The statement came after inspecting KAI lands in Jakarta on Sunday (5/4/2026) for the people's housing program. The visit involved KAI President Director Bobby Rasyidin and Danantara COO Dony Oskaria.
In a follow-up to earlier condolences, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) CEO Bobby Rasyidin visited the family of a victim from the April 27, 2026, Bekasi Timur train collision on May 1. He pledged to fund their child's education through KAI's Asuransi Pendidikan program, in a heartfelt moment that went viral on social media.
