Keiser University's indoor track and field athletes concluded the Legends of Alachua County Invitational on Sunday with impressive results in throws and hurdles. The men's team saw a school record set in the shot put, while the women's squad delivered solid performances in shot put and the 800 meters. Held at the Alachua County Sports and Events Center in Gainesville, Florida, the meet highlighted several top finishes for the Seahawks.
Akai Tonge, a junior at Windermere Preparatory School, set a new school record in the 400-meter hurdles at the 2026 Dr. Baptiste Invitational. He clocked a time of 57.85 seconds during the event held at West Orange High School on March 6. This performance marks the fastest time for a Laker in the event.
