Brooke Huleatt, a senior on Mount Academy’s girls indoor track and field team, set a Section 9 indoor record of 24.67 seconds in the 200-meter run on February 7 at the Purple Champions High School Invitational. This marks the first time a female athlete in Section 9 has run under 25 seconds in the event. Huleatt’s performance also ranks as the second-fastest time in the state this year.

The Warwick Valley boys indoor track and field team won the Section 9 Class A championship on January 31 at West Point, marking their first title since 2017.
