Djurgården overcame an early injury to forward Victor Eklund and a 2-1 deficit to defeat Timrå 3-2 in a shootout at Hovet. Anton Frondell opened the scoring, Philip Holm tied the game shorthanded, and Viggo Björck sealed the victory on penalties. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the home team.

Timrå plans to cut its forward group from 16 players to 14 or 15 ahead of the new season. Sport chief Kent Norberg said at least one and possibly two forwards will depart via loan or sale. The moves come after the departures of key offensive players Jonathan Dahlén and Elias Pettersson.

Djurgården is exploring a potential move for Timrå forward Sebastian Hartmann as the club prepares for its return to the SHL. The 32-year-old player has expressed openness to the transfer despite his contract running until 2028.
