Aaron Rai won the PGA Championship on Sunday with a final-round 65 at Aronimink Golf Club. The 31-year-old Englishman finished three shots ahead of Jon Rahm and Alex Smalley to claim the Wanamaker Trophy.
Rai pulled away from a crowded leaderboard with a strong back nine that included an eagle at the ninth and a 68-foot birdie putt on the 17th hole. He finished at nine under par for a three-shot victory over Rahm and Smalley, both at six under. The win marked Rai's first major title after seven prior professional victories.
