Adorni accompanies Monteoliva in drug destruction operation in El Talar

Cabinet Chief Manuel Adorni accompanied National Security Minister Alejandra Monteoliva in a drug destruction operation at Grupo S.A. plant in El Talar. Over 800 kg of cocaine, marijuana, and synthetic drugs were incinerated, along with more than 1,800 kg of chemical precursors. The destroyed material is estimated to be worth over 4 billion pesos on the illegal market.

Manuel Adorni and Alejandra Monteoliva led the procedure in El Talar, with participation from National Security Ministry officials, federal police forces, and the Director of Narcotics and Related Crimes of DGA-ARCA, CPN Diego Pérez Escobar.

Precursors such as caustic soda, acetone, ether, and acids used in drug production were destroyed. This operation marks the final stage of judicial investigations and seizures that prevent the substances from returning to the illegal circuit.

Since the start of the administration, 281 destruction procedures have been carried out nationwide, eliminating about 290 tons of illegal substances. In 2025, marijuana seizures grew 4% to 114,367 kg, and synthetic drugs 58% to 1,503,724 units. In Buenos Aires province, cocaine seizures exceeded 2 tons, a 257% increase.

Federal forces intensified operations, with 28,004 anti-drug procedures (+9%) and 28,676 arrests (+18%) in 2025, according to National Security Ministry data.
