Andreas Hägglund has agreed to become the new general manager at Linköpings HC, according to reports from Expressen. He will leave Mora IK after five seasons in a leadership role. The move comes as Linköping restructures its sports organization.
Expressen reports that Hägglund, currently Mora IK's sports director, reached an agreement with Linköpings HC over the weekend. A few weeks earlier, the newspaper identified him as the club's top choice for the general manager position. The recruitment process narrowed down candidates before finalizing the deal, with Hägglund signing a contract to take on the role with oversight of the entire sports operation, including a more operational focus than previously planned. Linköpings HC is undergoing a strategic shift to establish a clearer organizational structure. Hägglund's experience at Mora, where he managed both junior development and the senior team, built a wide scouting network, and excelled in recruiting international players, made him a strong fit. These skills were key factors in the club's decision. Broc Little has already been appointed as sports director for the A-team, complementing the new setup. Officials at Linköping are expected to formally announce the updated organization soon. Hägglund departs Mora after contributing to its junior and senior operations over five years.
