The National Army destroyed an explosive cylinder found on Route I-45 in the Y de Praga sector in Huila. Authorities attribute it to the Ismael Ruiz structure.
Units from the Campaña Artillery Battalion No. 9 Tenerife, supported by the EXDE Delta team, carried out the controlled destruction of the device. They also removed a banner installed next to the cylinder.
The discovery occurred in the hours before July 25, 2026. According to the Ninth Brigade, the goal of the action was to intimidate the civilian population and disrupt tranquility on that road corridor.
The intervention restored mobility on the road and ruled out risks for drivers and residents of the area. Authorities reported no harm to the population.
