Austin Aries defeated Blue Panther to become the new MLW National Openweight Champion. He secured the victory by applying the Last Chancery submission hold, rendering Panther unconscious and prompting the referee to stop the match.
The bout was taped on February 7. Panther's previous reign lasted 139 days and included two successful title defenses. This marks Aries' first championship in MLW.
