Salvador Illa's government has submitted a budget project to parliament with record spending of 49.162 million euros for 2026, plus 893 million euros extra from agreements with ERC and the Comuns.
Economy and Finance Minister Alícia Romero presented the project to parliament on Friday. The accounts keep the main figures from the February draft, with total spending of 49.162 million euros.
Agreements with ERC and the Comuns add 893 million euros this year and total 4.693 million euros until 2030. Of that, 533 million euros come from an additional provision for ERC and 360 million from prior pacts with the Comuns.
The full debate is scheduled for June 4 and the final vote for July 2. Romero stated that the budgets provide stability and address the country's challenges.
Health will receive 251 million euros of the extra funds, followed by Territory and Housing with 203 million euros and Education with 135 million euros.
