Chianda Boys High School in Siaya County has been closed indefinitely after a second dormitory fire destroyed Senior Chief Nathan Ojungo House on Friday, July 10.
The fire left 113 Form Three students displaced and without their personal belongings. No injuries or fatalities were reported and all learners were accounted for.
School management suspended classes while police and authorities began investigations into the cause. Parents were instructed to collect their children or arrange travel home.
This marks the second such incident at the school in less than a month after a separate dormitory fire on June 16.
