Coop recalls eggs over salmonella risk

Coop is recalling multiple packages of its own-brand eggs due to a salmonella risk.

The recall covers Coop 6-pack free-range indoor medium and large with best before 2026-06-22, as well as several variants of 10-pack, 15-pack and 20-pack with best before dates between 2026-05-29 and 2026-06-22.

Coop describes the measure as a precaution. Salmonella has been detected in the hens' stable environment but not in the packing facility during egg packaging, according to the company's press release.

The products are sold under Coop's own brand and the recall applies to stores in Sweden.
