Darryn Peterson has visited the Washington Wizards for an extensive stay but will not make additional trips before the draft, including to the Utah Jazz.
Peterson, ranked No. 2 on the CBS Sports Big Board, stayed with the Wizards for multiple days and completed more than one on-court workout. Sources confirmed he met with the Jazz at last month's NBA Draft Combine but chose not to visit further.
The move is intended as a statement to the Wizards, who hold the No. 1 pick. AJ Dybantsa remains the heavy favorite for the top selection, with speculation he prefers Utah.
Utah recently hosted No. 3 prospect Cameron Boozer, whose father works in the Jazz front office. The team also holds the No. 2 pick in the draft scheduled for next week.
