Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty called for the resumption of US-Iranian negotiations and completion of the first phase of the US President's Gaza plan during talks with Austrian Parliament Speaker Walter Rosenkranz in Vienna.
Abdelatty met Rosenkranz in Vienna on Wednesday. He stressed the need for concerted international efforts to reduce escalation and return to negotiations to contain regional tensions.
The two also discussed migration. Abdelatty outlined Egypt's success in preventing illegal migration from its coasts and highlighted the economic burdens of hosting millions of refugees. He urged greater international burden-sharing.
