Enel Colombia has activated a contingency plan following a failure in the electrical infrastructure, worsened by extreme weather conditions, which disrupted power supply in El Colegio and surrounding areas in Cundinamarca. The company relocated about 50 crews and canceled scheduled work elsewhere to address the emergency. Around 150 technicians and operatives are currently working continuously on the progressive restoration of service.
A failure in the electrical infrastructure, worsened by extreme weather conditions, caused power service interruptions in the municipality of El Colegio and nearby sectors in Cundinamarca, Enel Colombia reported.
In response, the company launched a contingency plan that involves canceling scheduled work in other areas and relocating about 50 crews to speed up emergency response and shorten restoration times.
Currently, around 150 people, including technicians and operatives, are working nonstop on-site to progressively restore electricity supply. Enel Colombia is maintaining ongoing communication with local authorities and the community to normalize service as quickly as possible.
