Färjestad BK is finalizing negotiations to add Pierre Beaulieu as an assistant coach for the upcoming season. The 43-year-old Canadian is expected to join Cam Abbott and Ole-Kristian Tollefsen on the staff.
The club has been clear about the need for one more assistant coach alongside Daniel Hansen and Erik Granqvist. Beaulieu, who has worked in Austria and Germany, most recently spent three seasons with Iserlohn Roosters in the DEL.
According to reports, he visited Karlstad during the past season and previously worked with former Färjestad coach Christer Olsson. Beaulieu began his coaching career after retiring as a goaltender at age 26 and has held roles including head coach at Innsbruck and Black Wings.
If the deal is completed, he will bring expertise in analytics, video, and tracking data systems to the SHL club ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
