Jonathan Andersson signs one-year contract with Kalmar HC

Defenseman Jonathan Andersson has returned to Swedish hockey after winning the Finnish championship with Tappara. The 32-year-old has agreed to a one-year deal with Kalmar HC.

Andersson cited the team's playing style and rising local interest in hockey as key factors in his decision. He previously spent a year and a half in Finland after a long career in Sweden.

The player has appeared in 440 SHL games and 118 HockeyAllsvenskan contests, along with 14 international appearances for Sweden. He aims to share his experience as Kalmar continues its development.

Andersson emphasized the importance of the playoffs beyond regular-season performance. Kalmar HC announced the signing this week.
