Kareem Rahma, host of the digital series SubwayTakes, and writer Karina Muslimova held their wedding on June 27 at the Nine Orchard rooftop in New York City. The couple had originally planned a destination wedding in Cairo but shifted plans after regional unrest forced cancellation weeks before the March 2026 date.
The pair met on Hinge in April 2021 during a first date in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. They welcomed daughter Sufi in 2024 and became engaged during a Puerto Rico trip on their first Mother’s Day as a family.
After the Cairo event was called off, they quickly arranged the New York celebration with planner Brittany Coyne. Karina wore a vintage 1990s Vera Wang gown, while Kareem purchased his first tuxedo from Jake Mueser. Wedding bands were bought the morning of the ceremony in Chinatown.
The ceremony featured a zaffa procession and dabke performance. Guests later moved to Casino for celebrations that lasted until 3 a.m. Both described the day as joyful and the right decision despite the change in plans.
