The Kawan Baik community in Surabaya organized the SriKandi Revival: Heritage of Empowered Women event for Kartini Day. Founder Martha Kp Nindya said the commemoration goes beyond annual ceremonies, serving as a platform to revive women's courage and integrity.
"The SriKandi Revival theme signifies the resurgence of resilient women's spirits in the modern era. Women who are not just outwardly strong but also possess values, integrity, and the courage to speak out," Martha Kp Nindya stated in a written remark on April 22, 2026.
She emphasized that the Heritage of Empowered Women concept highlights intergenerational values. Today's women must be adaptive while maintaining strong character in various roles. "Women today must dare to speak up, know their boundaries, have good attitude, and integrity," she added.
Participants engaged in a "Release Your Emotion" session to recognize and release emotional burdens, building stronger selves. An inspirational talkshow with Aloysia Dian Nimas Prameswari discussed contemporary challenges for women. The event aims to keep Kartini's spirit alive in a relevant, modern form.
