The definitive scrutiny of the 2025 national legislative elections in Chaco confirmed La Libertad Avanza's victory over Peronism by a slim margin. Javier Milei's party secured 44.11% of votes for senators, guaranteeing two seats, while Jorge Capitanich's Fuerza Patria got 43.59% and one seat. The deputy results were similar, leading to balanced representation.
The definitive scrutiny, conducted by the National Electoral Secretariat, ratified the provisional results of the October 29, 2025, national legislative elections in Chaco province. La Libertad Avanza (LLA), driven by Javier Milei and backed locally by Governor Leandro Zdero, solidified as the leading electoral force with majority support among Chaco voters.
In the national senators category, LLA received 291,956 votes, or 44.11%, securing two seats in the Upper House. Fuerza Patria, the Peronist space led by Jorge Capitanich, garnered 288,509 votes (43.59%), claiming just one seat due to the narrow gap. Other forces, such as Vamos Chaco at 2.38%, achieved minor percentages without significant representation.
For national deputies, the contest was equally close: LLA tallied 266,189 votes (40.21%), compared to 255,876 (38.66%) for Fuerza Patria. Both alliances secured two seats each, resulting in balanced congressional representation. Remaining lists, including Frente Integrador (2.07%) and Partido Obrero (1.19%), fell short of thresholds for seats.
This election, characterized by sharp polarization between LLA and Peronism, underscores the decline of other political options and LLA's provincial dominance. The final outcomes affirm LLA's consolidation in Chaco, a key province in northern Argentina.
