Lacrosse player charged in crash that killed teammates

A 21-year-old Marquette University lacrosse player faces homicide charges after a September crash that killed two teammates in Milwaukee. Authorities say he sped through a yellow light and struck another vehicle.

Peter McColgan is charged with two counts of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle. The victims, 19-year-old Scott Michaud and 20-year-old Noah Snyder, were passengers in his Jeep Grand Cherokee and members of the same university lacrosse team. The crash took place just after 5 p.m. on Sept. 5 at the intersection of North 27th Street and West St. Paul Avenue.
