LeBron James remains undecided on his 24th NBA season as the free agency process stretches into its third week.
Cleveland Cavaliers coach Kenny Atkinson said the team is in the mix for the greatest player of all time. "This is an exciting time for us," Atkinson told Sirius XM NBA Radio.
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green revealed he made a recruitment pitch during time spent with James earlier this month. "Of course I did that and of course the pitch was crazy," Green said on his podcast.
Minnesota Timberwolves coach Chris Finch described it as an honor to be considered. Philadelphia 76ers president Mike Gansey noted the team has spoken with James' agent Rich Paul since completing a major trade for Jaylen Brown.
James is expected to take a minimum deal or portion of the mid-level exception, and teams including the Cavaliers, Warriors, Heat, 76ers and Timberwolves continue to await his choice.
