Lindsey Buckingham's alleged stalker ordered mental health exam

A judge has ordered a mental health evaluation for the woman accused of stalking Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham. The ruling came Tuesday in Los Angeles County mental health court.

Michelle Dick, 55, faces six felony charges and one misdemeanor related to alleged stalking and assaults on Buckingham. Prosecutors say the incidents include a vehicle assault and vandalism in March as well as earlier threats and harassment dating back to 2021.

Judge Robert S. Harrison appointed clinical psychologist Dr. Karine Shakib-Beltran to examine Dick and determine if she is competent to stand trial. The case had been suspended last month after questions arose about her ability to assist in her defense.

A follow-up hearing is scheduled for Aug. 6. Dick pleaded not guilty in May after her arrest in Indiana in April.
