From June 15 2026 Västerbergslagens Energi AB and Västerbergslagens Elnät AB are fully owned by the municipalities of Ludvika and Fagersta. The local ownership is set to strengthen energy solutions development in the region.
Ludvika and Fagersta municipalities have become sole owners of VB Energi and VB Elnät. The ownership change took effect on June 15 2026.
The new local ownership provides better conditions for energy solutions in the area according to the information.
The municipalities take full responsibility marking the end of previous joint ownership.
