Luleå Hockey sport chief Thomas Fröberg has confirmed that forward Åke Stakkestad will not join the team next season. The club is also preparing to replace Brendan Shinnimin, who is moving to Linköping.

Fröberg told HockeyNews that the club aims to add two top forwards, one center and one winger, both capable of driving the power play. He emphasized that the new signings will not serve as direct replacements for departing players.
