Man pleads guilty to killing ex-wife during 911 call

Craig Liner, 62, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and related charges for fatally shooting his ex-wife in her Tennessee driveway while she was on the phone with emergency services.

The plea came on Monday in Bradley County Circuit Court, where Liner was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole. The charges stemmed from the January 27, 2025, killing of 51-year-old Karen Liner at her home on Arthur Lane in Cleveland, Tennessee. She had called 911 after her ex-husband entered the garage, and the recorded call captured her saying, 'Get out of my driveway,' followed by frantic pleas and gunshots.
